At Chapman Coyle Chapman Architecture & Planning we’re responding to a strong trend of open kitchens within our club projects. Having open kitchens or finishing kitchens in the club environment provides an outlet for the creation of an experience that allows the activity of cooking to become entertainment for members and guests. Opening views into kitchens provides members with an exploratory, and communal way to connect with their love of food and its preparation. The allure of aromas, sights, and sounds of cooking, combine into a rich tapestry of sensations that inspire and enlighten a deeper understanding of our love of food; as sustenance and as art.
With the advent of popular cooking shows on TV, we are embracing the authenticity of the culinary arts. Being a driver in member satisfaction, Clubs continue to invest in kitchens and equipment to allow them to captivate and attract existing and new members. After all, more often than not, they find stiff competition down the street from local pubs, eateries, and an array of dining options.
Cooking as entertainment is becoming a feature that sets clubs apart from others by curating dining experiences that appeals to the high standards of their membership.
