Ansley Golf Club is considered the most family oriented, friendly, and fun private country club in Atlanta, and we have been fortunate to work with them for a number of years. For over 50 years, Atlanta Country Club has reflected the traditions of golf, making it an extraordinary place its members can truly call a home away from home.  With the latest interior renovations, the clubhouse will continue to be a gracious host for its members and guests.

Starting by demolishing the existing clubhouse, we worked with Atlanta Country Club to create a new home that pays homage to Southern Grandeur. This new facility boasts a 2-story clubhouse with a separate Golf Shop building. With a long-standing relationship with the club, we were invited to guide them through their most recent interior renovation with updates to the entry hall, lounge, bar, family & casual dining rooms, and golf shop.

In working with a team of design and construction professionals, we completely transformed the existing clubhouse to meet the demands of a large & thriving membership. The program called to create engaging spaces in which to host a variety of member functions.

Being part of a large design and management team employed by BallenIsles Country Club, we worked diligently on the designs to renovate 79,000 square feet of existing space, while adding 31,000 square feet of new condition area to the clubhouse. With a growing membership, we responded to the demand for more card rooms, dining venues, and bar/lounge spaces.

This statement defined the purpose of the Capital City Club for its members when it was granted a charter on May 21, 1883. The club’s mission remains the same over 130 years later.

Being involved with Capital City Club since the early 1990's, we are proud to say we have contributed, albeit a small portion, to their enduring legacy in Atlanta.  The original clubhouse design was inspired by the chateaus in the south of France and our firm has respected the existing architectural character by sensitively integrating style and material into new and renovated spaces.

A new center of activity for the whole family to enjoy at Chattanooga Golf & Country Club. Embracing the need to provide fitness to their members, we designed a 7,700 square foot fitness center with adjoining pool snack bar. This building also has child minding, a fitness classroom, locker rooms, laundry, and offices.

An array of support structures surround the two new swimming pools. Members can enjoy a 450 square foot pool bar dubbed the "Adult Oasis". There is a separate pool check-in building that includes the life guard station and storage. Pool equipment and locker room facilities are combined into another 2,150 square foot building referred to as the "Bath House".

The new stucco clad addition blends well with the existing Mediterranean style portion of the clubhouse.  This space provides members with a new golf shop, family dining room, casual dining room, Tavern, Ladies locker room & lounge, and golf bag storage complete with a golfer's terrace.  Administration offices were also added to the brick colonial portion of the clubhouse.

The interior renovation work included the Grill room and a kitchen redesign, along with other back-of-house areas.

The existing clubhouse at Fox Chapel Golf Club is unique in that it's comprised of two distinct building designs from two different time periods in the life of the club.  We were privileged to have designed a significant addition to the Mediterranean style portion of the club which dates back to 1925, as well as interior renovations to the brick colonial section which dates back to 1931.

We assisted Darlington School in the initial land use acquisition and master planning for this new Middle School.  It was determined, through a detailed life/ cost analysis, that the existing facility would not meet the owner’s long term programmatic needs and the maintenance and operating costs would not meet the efficiency levels expected of the program. The exterior improvements at Cornerstone Christian Academy consider aspects of operations for every user. Students enjoy outdoor activities at the new middle school plaza, where they can utilize the new exterior band-shell as a playful venue for musical and thespian performances. Parents interface with the upgraded vehicular circulation & parking configuration. Staff now have the opportunity for outdoor instruction at the event & activity lawn.

We were challenged to improve the overall campus exterior and plan of Cornerstone Christian Academy. We designed a new middle school plaza which includes an outdoor covered lounge, study & dining areas, concrete foosball table, concrete ping-pong table, and landscaping. As long-term architecture and planning partners, it was necessary for us to maintain consistency in order to develop a unified school identity. This was established by careful design considerations for materials, colors, form, and style.
